The Berenstian Bears - Theme Song

I was watching this with my son and realized what a steaming pile of turd that this theme song was.

Somewhere deep in Bear Country
Lives the Berenstain Bear family
They’re kind of furry around the torso

WTF. Seriously? Was it a dare to fit the word torso in there? How can they be moreso like people than people are? The only difference between them and me is that they live in a tree?! Really, how about that they’re bears?!
