Google Chrome

Google released thier take on the internet browser today. It’s still in beta, but then again so is Gmail. So far, I’m sold. It’s simple, smart, and blazing fast. The tab managment is top notch. If you like lots of fancy extensions, it’s probably not for you. If you like you browser clean and fast, give it a whirl.

Obviously going to try it.
The only add-on that needs to work is StumbleUpon. Once they get that goin’, I’m in.
I’m still amazed at its speed. The blue look isn’t immediately endearing, but I’ll get over it. The ability to create stand alone “apps” out of any website is sweet, too. Lifehacker has a pretty good feature walk through. Can’t wait for them to port it to the Mac.
Ah… crap. This means I’ll be getting rid of my sexy Firefox wallpaper.
Might I suggest a replacement? You could tile it.
Google put in a little easter egg. Type about:internets into the address bar.
Just as I suspected… I tried going to several county websites that we use regularly… Apparently, they didn’t get the memo about chrome. I got this: http://carteret.connectgis.com/Utility/InvalidBrowser.htm
damn it. I hates me some Intarnet Explorin’…
I’m gonna put that up on this site if you visit with Internet Explorer. That’ll show ‘em.
