Monster Washes Up on Shore

This… thing, supposedly washed up on shore in Mantuak, NY. Internet rumbling puts it anywhere from a dog to a viral marketing campaign. I only post it because it’s one ugly mother and deserves a spot among the other ones here.

Its a Turtle without its shell. Probably a genetic defect or something.
Turtles can’t be removed from their shell without a fair bit of mutilation. The shell is fused with its vertebrate, they don’t just pop out like the cartoons.
My guess is it’s a dog. The cartilage of the nose is gone, giving the beak appearance. There also seems to be some fur around it’s neck.
Looks like a Griffin without wings.
Just test the darn thing
